What’s New

Employment is key to success for almost everyone!

In Michigan, working with nationally recognized experts, we are developing a learning approach unique to the entire US!

Seven (7) basic BENEFITS TO WORK training modules related to paid employment and SSI, SSDI or both will soon be available on the Improving MI Practices website.

Individuals, staff and advocates dedicated to promoting strong work expectations and committed to accurate and quality benefits planning are encouraged to check out this unique approach to learning, understanding and applying the Benefits to Work content to real life!

These modules provide opportunities to develop proficiencies in understanding basic SSI and SSDI eligibility; earnings potential and strategies for individuals to grow more self-sufficient while making the best use of related work incentives.

Available to registered participants, Benefits to Work blended training requires successful completion with high acuity as a pre-cursor to participation in the NEW 2 day face to face live Benefits to Work training with State and National experts. How exciting is this?

Watch for the new Benefits to Work training along with the related modules, available in FY 17.
