POLICY WIN: U.S. Export-Import Bank Reauthorized
Last week, Congress approved a 5-year reauthorization of the U.S. Export-Import Bank. With $2.8 billion of San Diego County's exports depending on the Bank's help, this is great news for San Diego.
 
Cross Border Xpress Now Open For Business
The much-anticipated Cross Border Xpress (CBX) will open for travel Wednesday, December 9. Tickets are now available for purchase and crossing fees will be waived December 9 -18.

Councilmember Mark Kersey Announces Infrastructure Financing Initiative
Last Wednesday, Councilmember Kersey announced Rebuild San Diego, a ballot measure to secure $4-5 billion for infrastructure improvements over the next 30 years.
San Diego City Council Approves Water Rate Increase
Last month, the City Council voted to increase water rates by 16 percent in 2016. The Chamber stands in support of the increase, as it is necessary to create a safe, reliable and sustainable water supply.
