Introducing ACJU - ACJU Education Division (Part III)
This week we would be introducing the ACJU Education Division.

The Education Committee of the ACJU is in place to provide services to Schools, Universities, and Arabic Colleges. Currently, the focus of the Committee is to improve the educational standards for the Muslims of Sri Lanka. In that direction, necessary steps are being taken to raise the standards of Muslim schools, while for the Arabic colleges in Sri Lanka a common syllabus and lesson plans are already being implemented.
The following are some of the Projects by the ACJU Education Division for the Year 2015.
  • Financial Aid to Underprivileged Students to Excel In Education (Breakfast, Uniform etc.) 
  • Enhancing the Learners to Reach their Goals (Special Teachers for O/L & A/L Stream, Islam subject Teachers etc.) 
  • Transforming lives through Spiritual & Academic Motivation (Training Programs, Workshops etc.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr (Radhiyallahu Anhu):
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Allah will not deprive you of knowledge after he has given it to you, but it will be taken away through the death of the religious learned men with their knowledge. Then there will remain ignorant people who, when consulted, will give verdicts according to their opinions whereby they will mislead others and go astray."

Programs on "Introduction to Standardizing Maktab" for Maktab Representatives (MR) organized by the ACJU Maktab Division were held on the 4th of October at the following Areas:- 
-Colombo
-Puttalam
-Kurunegala

Ash Sheikh Fazil Farook and Ash Sheikh Abdur Rahmaan representing the ACJU Council for Cooperation and Coordination (CCC) participated at a special discussion on the Geneva Proposals at the National Christian Council on the 1st of October.

A Special Meeting was held on the 30th of September with around 7 School Islam Teachers to recruit the new Islam teachers to few Muslim schools where there are no Islam teachers. 


A 6 Day-Training program on 'Positive Parenting' for Maktab Center Muawins of Colombo and Kurunegala, has been organized by the ACJU Maktab Division. The Training would be conducted by Ash Sheikh Luqmaan Hakeem. 

President of ACJU, Ash Sheikh Mufthi Rizwe and some Members of the Head office visited 3 Branches of ACJU in the Puttalam District on the 3rd of October.

The Annual General Meeting of the ACJU Kalutara District Branches was held on the 4th of October in Kalutara. Members of the Executive Committee of ACJU, President
Ash Sheikh Mufthi Rizwe, Secretary Ash Sheikh M.M.A. Mubarak & Treasurer Ash-Sheikh A.L.M. Khaleel were invited as special guests.

A Motivation program was organized by the ACJU Education Division to O/Level students of
St.Sebastians Muslim Vidyalaya, Colombo. The program was conducted by some University students on the 5th of October. This is a part of Project 'E': 'Transforming Lives" one of the 6 New Projects of the Division.
