The Society for Psychotherapy Research
52nd International Conference
Heidelberg, Germany
June 23-26, 2021

From Unravelling to Stitching:
Tailoring Psychotherapy in the Face of Change

In the face of drastic and unprecedented change, our global community has shown a great deal of resilience over the past year. Psychotherapists have quickly adapted their practice and researchers have creatively persisted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are excited to finally gather together to recognize and discuss the significant contributions advancing research in the field.
The Society for Psychotherapy Research is looking forward to having you join the 52nd International Annual Meeting taking place virtually and in Heidelberg, Germany, from June 23 to 26, 2021.
Conference structure: The hybrid conference will consist of online and in-person sessions highlighting the theme, “From Unravelling to Stitching: Tailoring Psychotherapy in the Face of Change.” Live and on-demand presentations will cover a broad range of topics including both the empirical basis and applied value of psychotherapy research. The overarching goal is to inform the effective practice of psychotherapy worldwide, while also providing opportunities for networking through virtual social events. In-person attendance will be limited in order to comply with Heidelberg social distancing requirements. These requirements may potentially change as the conference approaches.
Notifications of acceptance: We want to thank everyone who submitted projects for presentation at the conference. The committee is currently in the process of reviewing applications. Notifications of acceptance will be emailed around March 1, 2021.
Presentation guidelines: Please note that we are asking that all presenters record their sessions ahead of time and make presentation materials available to the program chair if need be. Details about presentation guidelines and technical support will be forthcoming.

Conference fees: SPR seeks to keep costs to a minimum and affordable to as many people as possible. Conference fees have been adjusted this year to reflect the hybrid format.
