“Something for doers …” GLE VIDEO GCCA+ Global Learning Event 2016 film now online

GCCA+ Global Learning Event 2016 film now online

A new video on the GCCA+ website captures all the action as it happened during the three-day Global Learning Event last month in Brussels.

The event was organised by the Global Climate Change Alliance to boost knowledge-sharing and learning on the best ways to help those countries most vulnerable to climate change prepare for and adapt to the realities of climate change.

Featuring footage of the four technical sessions, keynote addresses and interviews with key speakers and leading figures in the development and climate adaptation spheres, the six-minute film showcases how stakeholders around the world are tackling climate challenge. But also what this means for future action, political and (importantly) practical.

“Climate change adaptation and resilience is a nitty-gritty thing carried out by local governments, businesses … it’s something for doers, so the money has to go to doers not policy-makers,” commented David Jackson, Director of Local Development Finance at UN Capital Development Fund, in the film.
