On Monday, October 24th, the Open Space Authority's Citizen's Advisory Committee reviewed OSA staff recommendations for the first dispersal for Urban Open Space Grants (see CAC agenda and packet). The total grant amount available is $1M.
Our proposal, Coyote Meadows Park Community Planning and Concept Project (see proposal) was well-received. Staff recommended it for funding with the caveat that funding was available. If you'd like to be on the CAC mailing list, please contact Board Clerk Kellie Guerra.
Well, we had public comment from a number of our supporters (thanks to Larry Ames, Imelda Rodriguez, Dick Silva, Bill Rankin) and letters of support (Steve Holmes, Davide Vieira). Thank you all.
Next up is the OSA Board vote, which will be Thursday, November 10th (see schedule, agenda to come). If you'd like to be on the OSA Board meeting list, please subscribe. More info will come in case you want to write a letter of support or attend and provide comment.
Thank you for being a part of the coalition.
