Dear Friends,

This week, I was reminded that community foundations give a voice to those who don’t have a voice, empower the disempowered and ultimately give the gift of financial resources where it matters most.  It was earlier this week that ACF and the BB & A Miller and Williams Funds were proud to be part of a project that embodies these values, the Woor-Dungin Criminal Record Discrimination Project (CRDP) which was given an award at the Philanthropy Australia annual awards.

Another way the ACF community is creating lasting social change is through the ACF Impact Fund. A panel of ACF donors and experts are currently finalising the Expression of Interest selection for the 2018 round. We are also receiving reports on the powerful outcomes from last year's grant round.

Lastly, I am excited to announce ACF's new premises at Level 6,126 Wellington Parade East Melbourne. This shared office space and community hub will enable donors and like-minded organisations to work together to strengthen our communities through philanthropy.  We hope to engage the wider sector in events at our new premises in the near future.

Best wishes,

Maree Sidey
Chief Executive Officer
