Happy 2017.

My word of the year is Sanctuary.

For three years now I have discovered a word for the year.

I think the most important thing I do, besides discovering a word, is making a vision board for my word, which I then hang on my wall so I see it every day.

In 2015, it took me forever to find my word Embrace, it stressed me out trying to get just the right word and in the end I wrote lots of possibilities on a page, closed my eyes, and put my finger on one.

In 2016, the word Magic just came to me, I don't even remember how or when, and it was so not a word that I was into then so I knew it had to be calling to me.

This year, I thought my word was going to be Sabbath, as learning to rest well was beginning to speak to me last year, and I even created my vision board thinking that was my word. But afterward I read the world sanctuary from a couple of sources and it hit me that that is actually my word, and it encompasses and goes along with Sabbath. It's okay to have several words that work together for you, I also had wonder as my accessory word to go along with magic in 2016.

There are so many resources for finding your word that I'm not going to add to those, but will direct you below.

Just know, you don't need to stress.
Maybe you just close your eyes and ask yourself, what do I need this year, and see what comes up.

But I do hope you spend some time, maybe take a sabbath pause, to think about your past year and about this year, as something magical does indeed happen when we embrace reflection and intention setting.

Also, I would love to know your word of the year if you discover one.
When we share it's so cool as people may come across something that makes them think of your word and the same may happen to you for them.

Play and rest well,
Lee Ann
