December 2015 Newsletter

Hi everyone and welcome to my very first newsletter, thanks so much for subscribing to it!

Life has been very busy lately and I'm so excited to have
finally sent off the manuscript of my second book to my new editor. Excited but also terrified! Excited to finally get the ball rolling but terrified to imagine the feedback I’d get. It’s funny how self-doubt suddenly creeps in when you know someone else is reading your story! I finally got feedback a few days ago and, all in all, it’s really positive. I totally agree with the comments and suggestions which were spot on and I’m very motivated to get back to work on it. Thanks Meredith :-)

And... I've come up with an idea for my third book!! I'm thrilled and I can't wait to get into it (once I've finished rewriting the second one). It will be a new experience for me because I will have to do a bit of research before I start writing as it will include subjects and issues that I have no personal knowledge of - as opposed to my first two books which have a lot of "me" in them...

On a more personal level, I turned 42 recently and realised that I have to face the fact that I will never be that older and wiser person I always thought I would become with age and time. Nope, looks like I’m set to stay the same scatter-brained and disorganised person forever! But hey, takes all kinds of people to make the world go round right? At least I can’t say my life isn’t exciting – I never know what I’ll forget next!!!

So I hope you all have a wonderful month of December and I wish you all the very best for the festive season. Merry Christmas and a magical New Year 2016 to you all …
Would love some feedback...

After a lot of deliberation, I’ve taken the leap and decided to look into changing the cover of my book “What's it gonna be?” as I feel that the cover is too clichéd and not modern enough. I used Design a Crowd and got about 30 designs and here are the ones I prefer. What do you think? Do they work? Would they catch your eye? Pique your interest and make you want to read the book?? I'm running a poll and would love to get some feedback, so if you have a moment, please let me know what you think. Thanks :)
