First Place AZ is offering two-year fellowships for doctoral and postdoctoral students in Arizona State University’s College of Public Service and Community Solutions. Fellows live and work at First Place–Phoenix, receiving training from ASU and First Place Global Leadership Institute faculty and advisors that ranges from functional life skills, wellness coaching and career exploration to community navigation and social integration. The award includes a part-time ASU staff position with benefits and First Place–Phoenix housing.​ Apply here.

Jan. 20 LNCS Meeting to Cover Legal Issues

First Place’s family coaching group, LNCS (Lifelong Networks for Communities of Support, pronounced “links"), will hold a meeting on Saturday, Jan. 20 covering such legal issues as guardianships, conservatorships, estate planning and the creation of a legal plan. Bridget O’Brien Swartz of Dyer Bregman & Ferris, PLLC and Emily Kile of Kile & Kupiszewski Law Firm, LLC, will speak.​
