Little Elizabeth's bench has fallen on hard times

I was originally made with hand tools by volunteer Friends of Troopers Hill in 2006. During the last 10 years many people have sat on me, enjoying this quiet and peaceful spot with its views over the river.

I was named after local author, Elizabeth Emra, who wrote, in the 1830s, the book "Scenes in our Parish", about this area.

My legs have aged and finally can support me no longer. I would lover to have a new lease of life and come back as a metal bench with a wooden top, just like my friend at Virginia's View, under the birch tree.

Friends of Troopers Hill think it will cost about £700 to bring me back to life.
