Breaking News: Maggie’s List Announces New Endorsement of
Joan McCarthy Lasonde (IL-09)

Maggie's List is proud to endorse Joan McCarthy Lasonde (IL-9) for Congress. Lasonde (L) is pictured proudly holding her endorsement certificate with Maggie's List Illinois State Chair Laura Anderson (R).

Maggie’s List is pleased to announce the late-breaking endorsement of Joan McCarthy Lasonde, who is running for Congress in Illinois’s ninth district. She faces an incumbent who is seeking a tenth term to perpetuate those liberal policies that continue to fail America’s families and business owners.

Joan exemplifies many of the Maggie’s List core principles. She is campaigning for economic growth and opportunity, strong U.S. national security, and limited government. Joan earned the very important endorsement of the Chicago Tribune. This endorsement elevated this race and dramatically improved the race for Joan and the voters of Illinois' 9th District.  Joan is also taking down the destructive mindset of the left even before she’s elected to Congress.

Surely you’ve heard of the orchestrated violence perpetrated at political rallies nationwide, and it appears Joan’s opponent could be complicit! (It should be noted that the opponent’s husband was recently caught talking about voter fraud in one of James O’Keefe’s undercover Project Veritas videos!!)  Joan is demanding her opponent’s resignation, and the opponent rebuffed the idea! That’s ok, because we know that Joan has what it takes to defeat her.

Please join Maggie’s List in supporting Joan Lasonde for Congress in the 9th Congressional District in Illinois.

Maggie’s List Endorsed Candidates
You Need to Know

We’re down to the final hours of what’s become one of the most surprising election cycles in recent history. Now is our last chance to make our voices heard in Washington. We need to continue to fight for the values of the country. We need to reduce our government’s infringement in our lives, support our military, and promote fiscal conservatism. We thank all of you for your continued support of our Maggie’s List endorsed candidates. But now, we are asking you one last time for your help.

Help comes in many forms: in the voting booth when you vote; on the phone when you remind your friends or loved ones to vote for Maggie’s List endorsed candidates; and online through financial contributions to our amazing candidates.

Friends, please take a look at the amazing women we proudly stand by this election cycle, and do what you can to put them over the top!

Senator Kelly Ayotte (NH)
In an election where the New Hampshire Secretary of State predicts a record turnout of 738,000 voters, Senator Kelly Ayotte—who was our first endorsement for the U.S. Senate ever in 2010-- is now in the lead in the highly competitive and bruising U.S. Senate race. On Thursday, the Boston Globe and Suffolk University found Senator Ayotte leading her opponent by 2 points. WBUR and MassINC found a better lead for her the same day, by 6 points. Senator Ayotte is running for re-election to the U.S. Senate, because she knows her work in Washington is not done. We need her to continue to fight for the values of this country—including our shared values of more personal responsibility, strong U.S. national security, less government and fiscal conservatism. This is a race where we can’t take anything for granted and could affect the balance of power in Washington.

 Senator Lisa Murkowski (AK)
The campaign of Senator Lisa Murkowski has just released another television ad featuring Senator Murkowski talking about her lifelong love for Alaska. Recent polls show, Senator Murkowski—a proven leader in state and national politics-- has a sizable lead in her race for a third term. But, this is another race where we can’t get complacent. Very little time remains until Election Day, and she needs all of our help to make sure she gets her message out to ensure every voter in Alaska knows what her message is and what she stands for.

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-3)
Maggie’s List knows that we will win big on Tuesday night if we can send Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler back to Washington. Rep. Herrera Beutler is seeking another term to continue her work fighting for veterans and taking reasonable steps to cut government spending. Her opponent was quoted as saying he “will be the Bernie Sanders of Washington”. Enough said! The choice is crystal clear. It’s time to rally behind Rep. Herrera Beutler and protect ourselves from costly and destructive policies.

Rep. Diane Black (TN-6)
Congressman Diane Black is expected to keep her House seat in Tennessee’s sixth district and cruise to re-election.  Rep. Black has proven herself as a fearless leader, unafraid to stand up to members of her own party when they stray from our conservative principles. A small business owner and a nurse for more than 40 years, she is among those leading the fight to balance the federal budget, overhaul our broken tax code, REPEAL Obamacare, and protect our values, which is why the American Conservative Union honored her with the prestigious “Defender of Liberty” award for her 100% conservative voting record.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (TN-7)
Congressman Marsha Blackburn—also from Tennessee—is poised to win re-election on Tuesday and without much stress at all. When Conservatives need a fighter against higher taxes, higher spending, and bigger government, they send Rep. Marsha Blackburn. She fights, and she doesn’t give up. Rep. Blackburn is outspokenly supportive of Maggie's List principles. Let’s make sure we send her back to Washington!

Rep. Susan Brooks (IN-5)
Congresswoman Susan Brooks of Indiana is seeking a third term and faces a re-election challenge. She’s running for re-election to Congress, because there is much more work to be done. She will fight for the values of our country. She will fight for Maggie’s List ideals of more personal responsibility, fiscal conservatism, less government and strong U.S. national security. Rep. Brooks is a former federal prosecutor who is fighting drug abuse nationwide. She is in Congress to fight for change. We need to fight for Rep. Brooks on Election Tuesday.

Rep. Barbara Comstock (VA-10)
Maggie’s List is proud to support Congressman Barbara Comstock in what’s shaping up to be a heated race in Virginia’s 10th congressional district! One of the most contentious and expensive congressional campaigns in the nation is taking place there and is one of the few toss-up races left! One of the things impacting this race in a major way: shifting demographics that favor the other side. We can’t let our guard down with many races across the country—especially this one. If you live in the Loudoun County area, remember to vote for Congresswoman Comstock. Tell your friends and family to vote for her.

 Rep. Virginia Foxx (NC-5)
Congresswoman Virginia Foxx is campaigning to keep her 5th Congressional District seat. Rep. Foxx says she wants to continue the fight for the sort of commonsense conservative solutions that will reduce taxes, shrink the federal government and preserve our national security. Her opponent is someone who fashions himself after Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders who focuses on income inequality. The current Republican Conference Secretary, Foxx is expected to earn the gavel of the Education and Workforce Committee.

Rep. Kay Granger (TX-12)
Congresswoman Kay Granger is the first Republican women ever to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in history.  She makes an important stand in The Lone Star state for conservative women everywhere, and we need your support to re-elect Representative Granger. Let's keep Texas a red state! The Fort Worth Republican and former teacher is seeking her 11th term in office. She recently said the United States “faces serious challenges on a variety of fronts”, and she wants to help. Her top priority, if re-elected, is keeping the country and its citizens safe. “We’ve never been threatened by so many different, complex threats at once,” she said.

Jenkins back to Washington to help balance our country’s books and to promote fiscal responsibility!

Rep. Mia Love (UT-4)
Congresswoman Mia Love that she had to run two times to be elected. The first time many people assumed she would win, but that thinking hurt her. We need to make sure that never happens again.   Maggie's List is proud to stand with Mia Love in every one of her challenger elections and especially in this election where the DCCC made her their #1 target in 2016.  So much for their claim to support minority women.

Congresswoman Mia Love’s Congressional District-4 race has been rated ‘competitively Republican’ or ‘leans Republican’. Rep. Love has made history as the first, Republican black woman elected to Congress. She faces a rematch from an opponent she defeated two years ago. Polls have Rep. Love poised to defeat her challenger a second time. With mail-in balloting underway in the 4th Congressional District, a Dan Jones & Associates poll shows Rep. Love ahead by 13 percentage points, 51 percent to 38 percent.  Again, this is an election cycle where nothing can be taken for granted.

Rep. Martha McSally (AZ-2)
The Cook Political Report rates the Arizona District-2 race as “likely Republican.” There, Congresswoman Martha McSally continues to dominate fundraising in her race playing out in one of the most competitive districts in the country. A former U.S. Air Force pilot, Martha is the only female veteran in the GOP. Let’s send Rep. McSally back to Congress. She’ll be a strong voice for our military, for our veterans and for women.

Rep. Kristi Noem (SD-At Large)
With eyes on a fourth term, Congresswoman Kristi Noem says she's determined to further improve the next Farm Bill, grow the economy through tax breaks and smart trade deals and give a voice to those who influenced her first run six years ago. She recently said, "I'm just a mom and a wife and a South Dakotan that just wants to make sure that people in South Dakota have somebody fighting for them that really understands how they feel." Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rates South Dakota's U.S. House race as ‘safely Republican’. Polling conducted last month gave Rep. Noem 55% of the vote. With your support today, she can reach even more voters with whom to share her message.

Rep. Martha Roby (AL-2)
Ballotpedia rates Maggie’s List endorsed candidate Congresswoman Martha Roby’s Congressional District 2 race as ‘safely Republican’, but this is another race where nothing can be taken for granted. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-5)
Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers needs all of our support to send her back to Congress. Rep. McMorris Rodgers has been elected to serve as Republican Conference Chairman. With this title, she now holds the fourth-highest-ranking position among House Republicans and is the highest-ranking Republican woman in Congress. Right now, she holds a  significant fundraising advantage over her opponent.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-27)
The Cook Political Report rates the race for Florida's 27th Congressional District as “likely Republican.” Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who is running for re-election there, has been a friend of Maggie’s List for some time. She, also, has made history as the first Hispanic woman ever elected to Congress. We need her very strong voice on matters of U.S. national security and also to raise awareness of our shared values among Hispanic voters. You have a chance to help move America in a better direction.

She is an important leader to Millennials and leads a special task force on Millennials issues that draws national attention.  Her opponent this election? A retired Army colonel. The Cook Political Report rates this as race as “likely Republican”. An NRCC poll shows she has a commanding lead, and several groups are pumping cash into her campaign—because, it’s also a district President Obama carried in the past. They’re not taking any chances, and neither are we! If you think our future is worth saving and protecting, stand with Rep. Stefanik before it’s too late.

Walorski will win her re-election bid! The Cook Report rates Indiana’s District-2 race as “likely Republican”. Currently in her second term, the South Bend native has served on several committees including House Armed Services and Veteran's Affairs and Agriculture. Congresswoman Walorski recently said, "The reality is no matter who wins the [presidential] election, my job is to make sure that we keep a conservative majority in the House to continue to fight for Hoosiers, to fight to keep our nation safe, and this is a full-time endeavor."

Kathy Szeliga for U.S. Senate (MD)

Kathy has been crisscrossing the state and is getting a great reception from Maryland voters. But she needs your help! Her opponent is a seven-term congressman who has raised more than $11 million - and he's using that money to out-flank Kathy on the airwaves and with GOTV. Republican challenger Wendy Long knows her fight for the U.S. Senate seat is a long shot. Despite recent polls showing she trails her opponent by about 40 points, she is determined to take down what she calls a corrupt establishment.  Wendy’s message to you: “If you want to say NO to corruption, career politicians, and political correctness, I’m your messenger. Let’s fire corrupt career politician Chuck Schumer and say YES to American jobs, borders, the Constitution, and the rule of law.” The New York attorney is no stranger to politics. She was a spokesperson for two former senators, Gordon Humphrey of New Hampshire and William Armstrong of Colorado, and she also challenged Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in 2012.If elected, Wendy says she wants to focus on getting schools back to local and parent control and work to make healthcare affordable.

Liz Cheney (WY-At Large)
Early vote returns in Wyoming indicate that the state will likely end up posting record voter turnout this year. The Cheney campaign is firing on all cylinders heading into the final stretch, and Team Cheney believes it’s more critical than ever that they channel growing enthusiasm into a robust ‘get out the vote’ program. Liz’s supporters in Wyoming are encouraged to continue making calls to friends and family reminding them of the stakes in this election for Wyoming’s energy and ag industries, and Liz Cheney’s proven record as a constitutional conservative capable of shedding a national spotlight on the needs of Wyoming workers and families. To find your polling place, visit And always remember to share your support for Liz on social media using the hashtag #TeamCheney.

The San Diego area Congressional race is heating up with Maggie’s List endorsed candidate Denise Gitsham waging the toughest challenge her opponent, a longtime incumbent, has likely ever seen! Sue Googe (NC-4)
Maggie’s List just got off the phone with Sue Googe, challenger in North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District. The Googe campaign is constantly gaining steam. Sue is one of the very few candidates in North Carolina to work multiple early voting locations every single day of early voting. On Friday alone, she shook over 800 hands. Sue says she attracts supporters from all sides--including Hillary supporters, lifelong Democrats, new voters, and traditional Republican voters. She has especially energized the young voters in college and was the only candidate to get support from both college Republican and Democrat presidents. Her campaign is also having an impact beyond the district. Duke University and Elon University invited her to speak. Duke published a terrific article "From Communist China to U.S. Congress Candidate." 2016 is an unpredictable election, and her team is working hard every day to get support from all voters. Sue told us, “One thing is for sure. I am the champion of handshakes at early voting sites, and I really want to meet voters eye to eye, heart to heart.” Sue is running for Congress to FIGHT for change, not just talk or hope for it.

Amie Hoeber (MD-6)
In Maryland, challenger Amie Hoeber is working 24/7 to win every vote she can to deny her opponent a third term. Amie, a national security consultant and former Deputy Under Secretary of the Army under President Reagan, has racked up a slew of endorsements—including one from the state’s most popular Republican, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan. He likened her underdog campaign to his 2014 battle against the then-lieutenant governor. The western part of Amie's district is pro-energy, and that message is getting a strong reception in election 2016. To deny her opponent a third term, Amie needs all of us on board. Amie is largely self-funding her campaign. When Amie wins, she will be a strong voice on U.S. national security that Washington so desperately needs. With your help, Amie has a shot at winning big!

Tonia Khouri (IL-11)
Tonia Khouri faces an uphill battle challenging an incumbent Democrat, but Maggie’s List believes this amazing woman has what it takes to pull off a win. Tonia is a small business owner who started a home services company. She was elected to the DuPage County Board twice and is now the chairman of economic development on the board. Her campaign is focused on national security and economic growth. She has opposed all tax increases. Illinois’ 11th Congressional District needs Tonia Khouri.

Casey Lucius (CA-20)
Casey Lucius is running for Congress in California’s District 20, an open seat. Casey has a Master of Arts degree in national security affairs and a Ph.D in political science. She reports that her campaign is going well as she closes the name recognition gap with her challenger. One of the ways she has done this is through a compelling ad, which she has asked us to share with you. Take a look by clicking here:

Her opponent has put in $1.5 million into his campaign, so more funds are needed to help Casey and her team run the ad with more frequency.

Susan Narvaiz (TX-35)
This is Susan Narvaiz’s third time running for Congress, but the game has totally changed this time. The former Mayor of San Marcos, Texas, Susan has solid name recognize that has only gotten stronger. The anti-incumbent fever is red hot in this red state! Recent polling shows her within 6,800 votes of unseating a longtime liberal incumbent. When we last spoke with Susan, she was very thankful for Maggie’s List early primary support, but she also explained her needs which include funding to get her message out to protect the Lone Star State from a notorious liberal who continues trying to turn Texas blue. So, please take just three minutes to donate now. Your $5.00 or $50.00 is crucially important.

Glo Smith (FL-5)
This is the election year for change agents, and we believe Glo Smith is the answer in Florida’s 5th Congressional District. Maggie’s List just got off the phone with Glo who reports that-- in a poll taken last month--she and her opponent are in a virtual tie. That’s incredible considering that Glo is running in a largely blue district and her campaign is operating on a budget near zero. Glo has demonstrated that she can still beat the odds in this Democratic district. She has picked up endorsements from both sides, and she says she has the advantage of voters wanting to keep the seat in Jacksonville. Let’s help push Glo over the top during this critical time. Your help could tip this race in favor of Glo.
