Workout. Anywhere.


As we approach the holiday season, things start to move quickly and it's easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle. Before we know it, we're stressed and having no fun at all. So, I want to encourage you to slow down and take a little time for yourself. It will help bolster you to be really present with the family and friends who mean so much in your life.

Going into this week, try to think of one or two ways you can be gentle and kind to yourself and one or two ways you can practice kindness in the world. Maybe there's someone you know who needs a little extra compassion. Maybe you want to pick one of these 40 Ways to Practice Kindness and make it your own. When we've been good to ourselves, it's much easier to spread a little joy into the world. An added bonus - random and not so random acts of kindness will actually make you happier. So check out this article from the Huffington Post on 40 simple ways to practice kindness. It doesn't have to be anything big and it certainly doesnt need to cost a thing. 

As a way of being kind to yourself, join me for Urban Fyt's first 8-week yoga workshop starting this Wednesday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m. (indoors!). Yoga is a beautiful way to build strength and flexibility, as well as to calm the body and mind. We will set a few intentions for the new year. Allow this workshop to help get you there.

Our workouts this week will again challenge your body and mind.

This Tuesday, December 8th,  we will do 45 minutes of a tough stair workout at the Yale Parking Structure (Yale and Lomas) followed by a little yoga to cool down. Come sweat a little sweeter with me and challenge yourself on the stairs. 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday - join me for the first session of the yoga workshop!
Meet at 6:30 p.m. at 212 Tulane SE.
Cost: $100.00 for the 8-week series. 

Thursday's workout will be at the Yale parking structure at 6:30 a.m. 
Set your alarm early and start your day with a challenging stair workout and see the sun rise from the top. 
Please RSVP for this morning workout. 

Remember, if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you!
