Did you know?
The date of the first Practical Nurse graduation was on March 26, 1968. Many of these students began at the original Brockton campus and transferred to the Southeastern campus when it opened in September of 1967. The Dental Assisting and Medical Assisting Programs had their first graduation on June 16, 1968, and the HVAC Program had its first on June 11, 1997. The Culinary Arts Program graduated its first class on June 9, 2015.

Student Spotlight
Growing up in Easton, I already knew about STI. I have always wanted to have a career in the field of Dentistry. I attended Framingham State College to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Science, with the intention of continuing my education in either Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene. I chose STI because it is a well-known accredited program that challenges you, and because the school enables graduates to be licensed in Expanded Functions. At a young age, I lost my father to cancer. Since then I have always wanted to be in a field where I could help people. He always encouraged me to do my best and pursue my dreams. I am glad I have the opportunity to fulfill my dream. Over the next few years, I see myself being a Dental Assistant and continuing my education to become a Dental Hygienist.

Alumni Spotlight
I was looking for a career change. I was working in the corporate world and wasn't happy. I decided to enroll in the culinary program for that change. I wanted to do something I loved. I chose STI for a few reasons. Cost was a big part of the decision, but most of all it was for the personal attention and the way the program catered to the needs and wants of each student. The instructors were unbelievably attentive and the knowledge they brought into the program made it hard not to be motivated. They were always available to talk 1 on 1 and they helped me grow as a chef and as a person. I am getting ready to open my own establishment and hope to help others like me make their move/change. I hope to motivate others to reach their own goals and aspirations.

Faculty Spotlight
Caryn is a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vo-Tech High School where she majored in Culinary Arts.  She graduated second in her class and was a SkillsUSA State Secretary.  Caryn attended Johnson & Wales where she studied Food Service Management. In 2012 Caryn joined the high school's team. Caryn also helped create and implement the STI Culinary Arts Program in 2014 where she is also an instructor.  Caryn is currently enrolled at Fitchburg State University obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Education.
