Welcome of our End of Financial Year Communiqué! Last month Resilient Melbourne was launched and sets out the first ever resilience strategy for Greater Melbourne. Resilient Melbourne represents the culmination of work from people across sectors, council boundaries and community groups, coming together to consider a shared challenge: What can we do to protect and improve the lives of Melbournians, now and in the future?
WHIN’s Research Manager Deb Parkinson, and project co-ordinator, Judy Jeffrey will present on the GAD Pod training developed with NDRGS funding, and the Gender and Emergency Management National Guidelines, collaboratively developed under the leadership of the wider Gender and Disaster Pod team, with NEMP funding.
