Dear Friend,

Along with colorful tulips and delicate wildflowers, this spring we saw volunteerism impressively bloom. How can we thank enough the nearly 10,000 volunteers who turned out for our two spring clean-up and beautification events: Canal Clean Sweep and I Love My Park Day. You are truly amazing!

You dug, raked, planted, hammered, sawed, carried, painted, cleared, cleaned, constructed, and collected...and, from what we hear, had a lot of fun doing it.

Now that the warmer weather is upon us, I hope you have an opportunity to get out and enjoy the fruits of your labor at a nearby park or trail.

And maybe you want to consider applying for a state grant to further improve your favorite park or trail. If so, take a look at the new Regional Economic Development Council grants just announced.
