Roseacre Dental is looking much refreshed for Spring as our building improvements are coming to an end.

In addition to our two new hygienist surgeries we now have a very convenient upstairs patient toilet and new office facilities. The upstairs patient waiting area has been opened up and staff have a fresh new kitchen and break area to enjoy.
It has been lovely to hear positive feedback from patients about the improvements and the new hygienist services we are now able to offer. We are very pleased with how well the service is going as it means we can work together with you to get optimum results for your oral health and general well being.

National Smile Month  May 16 - June 16 2016
With National Smile Month approaching the Roseacre team will be joining in to raise awareness for good oral health.  The campaign has been running for 40 years to highlight three key messages...
  • Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
  • Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
  • Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
Look out for our staff 'smiley' selfies on facebook or twitter!
7 top Tips From Our Hygienists to improve your oral health
  1. Spit don't rinse - Spit out toothpaste after brushing but don't rinse.  The longer the toothpaste stays on the teeth the more protection you get from the fluoride.
  2. Do not brush straight after eating - Consuming acidic food or drink can erode the hard surfaces of your teeth (enamel), you can damage your teeth by brushing too soon. It's best to wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your pearly whites.
  3. Clean in between the teeth daily to help prevent the hard plaque from building up.
  4. Try to limit sugar hits to 5 times a day maximum
  5. Use a fluoride mouthwash at a different time to brushing to maximize the protection your teeth are getting throughout the day.
  6. Remember to use a 45 degree angle with your toothbrush, aim toothbrush into the gum margin for the best cleaning technique.
  7. Visit your Dentist/Hygienist regularly as advised to maintain a healthy smile and improve your general well being.
