Are you concerned about your safety or fraud when meeting to complete an on-line purchase? West Vancouver Police have joined police departments in offering the front steps and lobby entrance of our headquarters as a Trading Safe Zone.
People looking for an extra layer of security during face-to-face transactions arranged through online classified websites are welcome to arrange a purchase meeting outside the station or in the front lobby during office hours at 1330 Marine Drive, West Vancouver. The lobby is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The entrance plaza and lobby area is under 24-hour video surveillance.
West Vancouver Police ask people to remain aware that the police station is a place of business and that the lobby area is frequently occupied by people attending our headquarters for urgent matters.
People using the area for a Trading Safe Zone are asked to always use common sense and to exercise proper courtesy and consideration for others if they choose to meet here.
Persons using West Vancouver Police premises for safe internet trading transactions are advised the West Vancouver Police Department does not assume any responsibility for items traded and does not mediate transactions on the premises.
CRA reminder regarding your business representative.
Businesses: Have you authorized an accountant, bookkeeper or tax professional to act on your behalf with the CRA?
If you answered yes, you have an authorized business representative, and there are three important things you should know:
Business authorizations don’t expire automatically.
They only expire if the requester sets an expiry date. If you did not set an expiry date when you authorized a business representative, your representative continues to have access to your CRA program accounts. You can set an authorization to expire at any time using My Business Account to manage your representatives.
You don’t need to send us an authorization form every time you file your taxes.
The CRA receives almost 300,000 Business Consent forms every year that contain information we already have on file. This is the equivalent of 72 trees!
You can see a list of your authorized representatives and the transactions they have completed with My Business Account.
