There is nothing scary about the growth we have seen at the Historical Society.  We had our first Historical Connections event which you can soon watch online.  Membership is growing, though with our increased overhead we will not be shy asking you for more help throughout the year.  We are actively discussing how to find a more permanent home that would be more accessible and allow for more engagement with the collection.  And there continue to be new and diverse programs and stories to come.  If you're not already a member of the Historical Society, think about joining today!

Donation Spotlight - Hoffman-Callan Building Plans

The building known more recently as the ASAP building at France and CR25 next to Vescios' is coming down to make way for an impressive new mixed-use complex by Bader Development called The Shoreham.  The building has an interesting history, which you can read more about on our website.  Built in 1963, it was designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright and commissioned by the Hoffman-Callan Printing Co.

Bader Development wrote a historic report and took many photographs of the building and donated them along with the original plans for the building to the Historical Society.
