Introducing Excel Academy's New Field Trip Coordinator Annie Mun
Hello! My name is Annie Mun and I am the new Field Trip and Special Programs Coordinator for Excel Academy. I grew up in Southern California and graduated from UC Berkeley majoring in Political Science. I thought I wanted to go into law but ended up pursuing a teaching credential in social sciences. I taught 7th and 8th grade history in the Bay Area for 8 years and personally love the middle school age. I am very excited to be at Excel Academy in this role.  I hope to use my teaching background to make our field trips meaningful and directly correlated to what students are learning in their curriculum.

In my free time, I like exploring new places and eateries. And when I can get a quiet moment away, I love to sit down with coffee and immerse myself in a good book.
Thank you in advance for your patience as I settle into this role. I look forward to meeting each of you out on our field trips.

Make-Up PIcture Days~ Dates and Locations

Makeup picture days will be taken by the same photographer that we had at our main BTS event. Make-up days will be in south Orange County, Riverside, and Los Angeles. Details are on the flyer above.

For families who did not attend the BTS event or any makeup picture days, they have the option to email a high-quality headshot to the photographer Patrick Holzhauer at directly, copy Excel Registrar at, and order their IDs after their enrollment has been verified by Admissions/Registrar.

Student IDs are $10 each including S&H if purchased alone. The student IDs are also included in certain packages for free if families are ordering those packages. Please ask your ToR if you need the photo packages flyer. Parents may request home educator’s IDs at the same price to qualify for certain retail discounts for teachers. Their IDs will clearly indicate “Home Educator” so they will not be mistaken as credentialed teachers employed by Excel. Please reach out to your ToR with any questions regarding picture days.

Excel Academy park day activities are open to all Excel students and we encourage our families to bring friends who are interested in homeschooling and would like to learn more from an Excel credentialed teacher while attending a fun park day activity.

The students will simply log in to i-Ready with the same username and password used to access the benchmark assessments. Students are encouraged to utilize the lessons approximately 45-50 minutes per week (in reading and math). Students who complete lessons each month will be honored at their LP meetings by their ToRs for their dedication with a special certificate and treat. Keep up the great work!
