Here are the next couple of events this semester! We will be sending out another email later this week which will have the Ambassador Handbook and the Training Session Minutes. The Training Session Minutes will be a detailed agenda from our first training sessions. The Ambassador Handbook will be your reference for the Code of Conduct, Upcoming Events, Types of Events, a description of all the activities, and more! It will also be attached as a .pdf to all event reminders once you have signed up to volunteer.
As a reminder, you cannot RSVP for an event if you have not had a training session. If you were unable to come to our session and still want to volunteer, please email us for a follow-up training session.

Hart Middle School Visit Dates: Thuesday, Oct. 20, 11:55 AM - 2:19 PM Where: 4433 Willow Road, Pleasanton CA RSVP Here
Ambassadors will visit Hard Middle School, which is a PLTW affiliated school, to deliver a presentation and hands-on activity. This will be a good opportunity for Ambassadors to encourage middle school students to take certain recommended classes in high school (e.g. Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Physics, or any engineering-related courses). For middle school students, a strong foundation can be built if they are familiar with the subject before taking them in college.
Futures High School Virtual Panel Dates: Monday, Oct. 26, 10:25 - 11:20 AM Where: College of Engineering, SJSU, Dean's Office (ENGR 493) RSVP Here
SJSU Ambassadors will have their first opportunity to participate in a virtual student panel. Ambassadors will meet in the Dean's Office, and use Skype or Google Hangouts with the class. This is a perfect opportunity for Ambassadors who want to share their academic experiences with younger students while remaining on campus.

Where: College of Engineering, SJSU, Dean's Office (ENGR 493) RSVP Here
Granada HS Students will take a field trip to San Jose State University. Dates: Saturday, Nov. 7, All Day
Where: AT&T Park RSVP Here
The Bay Area Science Festival is a annual event that takes place in the AT&T Park. Where: College of Engineering, SJSU, ENGR 285 RSVP Here
Around 60 non-PLTW middle school students will come to SJSU for a hands-on activity and presentation. This visit is important as it may be the first exposure of engineering to some of these young students. If you're free during this time period, RSVP and act as a motivating figure for these students.
