Spring 2016 Newsletter for the Old-Growth Forest Network
It’s time for another ‘Spring Tour’ to speak for the forests. I will be giving talks and visiting forests in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, and possibly West Virginia. Please join me if you can; there is a link below to my schedule.

Lecture spaces will be filled with other tree lovers. We will visit some of our oldest and most beautiful forests. We will learn from each other – but we will also enjoy the moment – breathing in the forest air and listening to the birds.

The forests will give me the energy I need to keep going. I will be lovingly fed and sheltered by the most generous tree people. I will feel so utterly privileged to do this work. And I will feel so grateful to you for supporting me so I can do it.

For the Forests,

Joan Maloof
Founder and Executive Director of the Old-Growth Forest Network
Author, Teaching the Trees: Lessons from the Forest
and Among the Ancients: Adventures in the Eastern Old-Growth Forests

The Old-Growth Forest Network is the first national organization working specifically to preserve ancient forests for the enjoyment of present and future generations. In counties capable of supporting forest growth we identify at least one forest that will be forever protected from logging and open to the public. Then we help families connect with these forests. The result will be a national network of treasured forests where all generations can experience native biodiversity and the beauty of nature.  We depend on your donations to continue our work! Click here to Donate.
