Join Us May 30 For Volunteer Work Day At The Low Line
It's a clean-up. And a workout. It's always an uplifting experience, especially when you bring along a friend. It's our next Volunteer Work Day, and it's on May 30 from 1 to 3 p.m.
That's right, we're getting ready to prep, prune and preen our Virginia Treasure just in time for packs of Capital Trail bikers and hikers, gaggles of families pushing strollers and dragging wagons, and nature lovers seeking to explore Great Shiplock Park.
We welcome folks of all ages and abilities to come on out and help keep the Low Line looking its best (It's not just about looks; keeping native species thriving and helping to protect the James River from dangerous run-off are among our goals for the Low Line, too.)
It doesn't matter if it's your first time or if you were here last time (and every time). Working on the Low Line is a great free source of Vitamin D, a tremendous educational experience, and a impactful way to channel your civic pride. So bring your clippers and gloves (if you have them), dress comfortably and get ready to make a positive difference — and maybe even a few new friends. We're looking forward to seeing you on May 30.
