The 2021 Bid for HOPE Gala was a great success raising over $114,000 in support of our programs and services!
|
|
We would like to thank everyone that took part. Thank you to our guests, sponsors, donors, our event hosts Ryan and Cory Liebgott,
Cotillion Banquets, our Board of Directors, and Advisory Committee.

Celebrate the Holidays with JOURNEYS | The Road Home!
|
|
|
Fund A Cause Gifts are a creative, meaningful way to support the services of JOURNEYS | The Road Home that mean the most to you and your loved ones while providing vital resources to those in need.
With every gift, you will be helping someone get to their job, provide a safe and secure place of respite, put food on their table, or make their new apartment feel more like a home.
The things that many of us take for granted, take on special meaning for our neighbors in need. With each gift, you are saying to those experiencing housing difficulties, that someone stands with them on their way toward The Road Home.
If you are making a gift in honor of someone for the holidays, a certificate is also available for you to send announcing your gift.

Over the past few weeks, many JOURNEYS has seen the kindness and generosity of many individuals, school groups, and organizations.
|
|
(Top left) Students at St. Theresa School for collected items for 80 bags filled with toiletries, food, and other items for JOURNEYS clients.
(Top Right) The staff and students at John Hersey High School organized a large food drive for JOURNEYS and other local food pantries. 15 large boxes were donated to JOURNEYS. They rented a truck to deliver all the packaged food!
(Bottom left) Joshua wanted to support those in need for his Eagle Scout Project with Troop 158 in Rolling Meadows. He thoughtfully put together 50 care packages filled with toiletries, hand warmers, and other cold-weather essentials.
(Bottom Right) A wonderful volunteer group from Food For Friends brought delicious catered Thanksgiving meals for 60 people to JOURNEYS. Then served the food to JOURNEYS clients in the HOPE Center.

Every season is a good season for Ice Cream.
|
|
|
Head over to Kilwins in Arlington Heights all of December to support JOURNEYS and other local nonprofits. For every sale, Kilwins staff will ask customers which organization they want to support. At the end of the month, they will donate 10% to the chosen nonprofits.
A great way to support JOURNEYS and pick up some tasty treats and holiday gifts including delicious chocolates, confections, and fudge.

On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, JOURNEYS will hold its annual Homeless Memorial Service to honor the area's homeless who have passed away during the last year, as many did not have a service at the time of their passing.
The service and candle lighting is held as a reminder that homelessness is still a serious and growing problem in the
northwest suburbs.
