Managers Change at Louisiana Regional

October 15, 2018

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce that Mr. Chanse Watson will succeed me in the position of Louisiana Regional’s Airport Manager.   The next few weeks we will be working together to ensure a smooth transition.
Chanse Watson comes to Louisiana Regional from Lakefront where he served as Assistant Airport Director. Chanse comes to us with a bachelors in Aviation Management and more than 7 years of on the job experience, along with his private pilot certification.
Blessed is to have a vocation that grew into a passion; to have worked and played with so many incredible people, who I now call friends. I am excited to share what I have learned from this journey with my first grandchild due to be born in just a few weeks.   I look forward with joyful anticipation to my new title, Granny to Jaymes Elizabeth.
I will forever be grateful for the support and encouragement you all have given me over the years.  I am excited for Chanse and Louisiana Regional, knowing good things are in store for both. Thank you and best wishes.

Sincerely,

Janet Gonzales

Alan Malone Aviation Essay

As a new pilot, were you ever worried about getting lost?  That might seem a little weird to new pilots when you can navigate easier with your phone than anything we had in the instrument panels in the early days.  In today’s essay Alan talks about how he navigated in his early pilot days in Where the Heck Are We?  (Essay #265)
