Thank you for all your prayers for us! We're so thankful God has gifted us with such wonderful, loving ministry partners. Your faithful support through prayers and giving has upheld us during these dark times. May God bless you richly for your kindness to us.

During this time, we are reminded that we are still waiting for something much better. We have the assurance of a glorious future through Christ. God kept his age-old promise and, in his perfect timing, sent his Son to live, to die, and to rise again, restoring our broken relationship with him. If he was willing to give his only Son, keeping his promise of restoration, how much more will he keep his promise of a glorious future with him through Christ! This is what our family will be celebrating this Christmas.

Please pray for our Christmas Eve Party this evening. We will be hosting the Takeda family, who live just a few doors down from us. Pray for God to guide our conversations and for us to wisely and share the truth of the Gospel with grace. May God grant the Takeda family the hope that only comes from trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray that God provides some "core members" for our church plant here as well as church planting partners. We hope to find like-minded partners to plant a church with a plurality of leaders from the beginning.

Please keep in touch! You and your love and care for us are a great blessing to us. We are so honored to be working together with you to take the Gospel to the millions of lost in Japan. If you have any questions about what we are doing in Japan, or about partnering with us financially please do not hesitate to email me by replying to this email. 私たちのために祈って下さりありがとうございます！神様が私たちに、素晴らしく、愛に満ちたミニストリーパートナーを与えてくださったことを感謝しています。祈りと献金による忠実なサポートは、このような患難な時をも私たちを支えてくれました。皆さんのサポートに神様の祝福がありますように。

この時期、私たちは、”まだもっと良いものを待っていること”を思い起こさせられます。私たちはキリストによって栄光の未来が保証されています。神様は昔からの約束を守り、その完璧なタイミングで御子を遣わしてくださいましたーその御子とは、この地上に生き、死なれ、よみがえられ、そして私たちと神様との壊れた関係を修復してくださった方です。もし神様が回復の約束をお守りくださり、御自分の唯一の御子を喜んでお与えになったならば、キリストを通して御自分との輝かしい未来の約束を守ってくださることは、なおさらのことではないでしょうか。これこそが、私たち家族がこのクリスマスに祝うことなのです。

今晩のクリスマス・イブ・パーティーのためにお祈りください。数軒隣に住んでいる武田家の方々をお迎えします。神様が私たちの会話を導いてくださり、私たちが賢く、恵みのある福音の真理を伝えることができるようにお祈りください。主イエス・キリストを信頼することによってのみ得られる希望を、武田家に与えてくださいますように。

教会開拓のために何人かのパートナーだけでなく、「核となるメンバー」が与えられるように、これからも祈り続けてください。私たちは、同じ志を持ったパートナーを見つけて、最初から複数のリーダーがいる教会を始めたいと願っています。

Thank you for praying for Nozomi's father, "Papa" Okada. He had one foot in the grave a month ago, but God miraculously healed him. Although he is still recovering at home, he was able to attend his local church's Sunday worship. He's a walking miracle. Please continue to pray for "Mama" Okada as she cares for him during this recovery.

望のお父さん、岡田パパのためにお祈りいただきありがとうございます。1ヶ月前は危篤の状態でしたが、神様が奇跡的に癒してくださいました。今はまだ自宅療養中ですが、教会の日曜礼拝にも出席することができました。父は歩く奇跡です。引き続き、介護をする岡田ママのためにお祈りください。

Nozomi's cousin, Shin-san invited me to go to the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo with him and his mother. The art was nice, but the view from the windows was breathtaking. I told Shin-san I enjoy art and especially God's art. There's so much natural beauty around us that draws our hearts upward toward him. Please pray for Shin-san and his mother. They long for something better but don't understand God is what they long for.

望のいとこのしんさんに誘われて、しんさんのお母さんと一緒に東京の森美術館に行きました。美術品も良かったのですが、窓からの眺めが息を呑むほど素晴らしかったのです。私はしんさんに、私は芸術も好きですが、特に神様のお造りになった創造物が好きだと言いました。私たちの周りにはたくさんの自然の美しさがあり、私たちの心を神様に向けさせてくれます。どうか、しんさんとお母さんのためにお祈りください。彼らはより良いものを切望していますが、神様が彼らの切望しているものである、ということを理解していません。
