Nozomi does homeschool with our children 2 or 3 times a week. Some of Emi's friends started joining in.

October 2020 Update

More to Come!

Thank you for all your prayers for us! Nozomi and I are preparing for the City to City Japan, two-week church-planting intensive training. We will begin full days of training on Monday. This is just a short update to let you know how to pray for us during the next couple of weeks.

Please pray as the two of us will be commuting to downtown Tokyo every day during rush hour! The positive is we'll have a lot of time to talk with each other without any of the usual interruptions.

Please pray for the new relationships we will be making with other church-planters in Japan. Maybe God will lead someone to come to help us plant a church here in our location.

Please pray for God to give us wisdom as we hope to begin planting a church here in our area in the next few months after our training is finished. As far as we know, there are no gospel-centered, international churches on our side of the city.

Pray for our children while we are away all day, every day for the next two weeks. Also, pray for Maki, Nozomi's sister, who took off work for two weeks to help take care of the children while we're in training.

Please keep in touch! You and your love and care for us are a great blessing to us. We are so honored to be working together with you to take the Gospel to the millions of lost in Japan. If you have any questions about what we are doing in Japan, or about partnering with us financially please do not hesitate to email me by replying to this email. I look forward to communicating with you.

Taishi had his buddies come over the other day to play Nintendo.
I was recently offered to eat "kimo." I was told it's eel hearts, but I just looked it up and it's actually eel innards on a stick. Honestly, I didn't really want to eat it, but my missionary mindset kicked in and I tried it. I'm glad I did. It tasted good, reminded me of bitter clams.

最近、「肝」を食べさせてもらいました。 うなぎの内臓だと聞きました。 正直、本当は食べたくなかったのですが、宣教師の考え方が芽生え、食べてみました。 よかったです。 美味しくて、あさりを思い出しました。
