Cavalcade of Light and Christmas Fayre
A colourful array of floats and costumed participants is again promised at this year's Cavalcade of Light in Waltham Abbey on Friday, November 25.
The procession will set off from the Cornmill car park at 7pm and head to the front of the town hall for the switch-on of the town's Christmas lights by the Town Mayor, councillor Helen Kane.
The parade will then make its way along Church Street and Sun Street.
Mrs Kane said: "The Cavalcade of Light marks the official start of the festive season in Waltham Abbey and I hope that many people will take part and come along to see the spectacular floats and costumes which help make the event such a great start to Christmas in our town."

* A Christmas Fayre is being held in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, on Saturday, November 26 (10am-3pm).
There will be stalls selling festive goods, as well as a visit from a reindeer and Father Christmas, festive food and drink.
