Children from Thomas Willingale School sang carols before the annual 5km Santa Fun Run in aid of St Clare Hospice on Sunday.

More than 200 Santas took part in the event which was organised by Geraldine Wilson, of Geraldine's Hair Fashions in The Broadway.

The school's music co-ordinator, Rachel Bartels, said: "The children were thrilled to be a part of the St Clare Hospice Santa Run.

"They sang brilliantly and thank you to Geraldine for the fabulous head gear! They looked as fabulous as they sounded."

The event is set to have raised some £8,000 for the Hastingwood-based charity.
