Children and staff at Hereward Primary School celebrate World Book Day

Children and staff at Hereward Primary School, Loughton, celebrated World Book Day 2016 by dressing up as their favourite book characters.

There were many creative costumes ranging from characters in books by Roald Dahl, J K Rowling and Dr Seuss to traditional tales such as Alice in Wonderland and Little Red Riding Hood.

Headteacher Matt Woolard said: "World Book Day is one of our best days of the year. We were amazed at the wonderful costumes worn by the children which reflect their deep love of books."
