Students attend World of Work Conference
Year 10 students from King Harold Academy and Debden Park High School attended a World of Work Conference at the Marriott Hotel, Waltham Abbey.
The conference was funded by local organisation the YES Partnership.
During the day students took part in a variety of sessions.
They had to create the largest balloon tower, learn how to be a good negotiator and discuss the qualities and skills that employers look for.
Lunch was provided in the Thyme restaurant before the afternoon session saw the students meet with employers and industry experts to discuss various career pathways including opportunities through apprenticeships.
At the end of the conference certificates of attendance were presented to the students by Waltham Abbey Mayor Helen Kane.
