School holds Sixth Form taster day

As part of their Sixth Form application process, Year 11 students from Debden Park and other local schools attended a 'Day In The Life of a Sixth Former' day on Friday.
Attended by 178 students from four schools, the day offered a taster of what life is like studying A-Levels at Debden Park's Sixth Form.
Director of Sixth Form Joe Simm said: "The Day In The Life offers a chance for Year 11 students to spend a day in the Sixth Form block experiencing A -evel lessons and finding out about life after GCSEs."
The students took part in four A-Level classes in the subjects they are looking to apply to study next year, and had the chance to meet with members of the school's Leadership Team to answer questions about life in the Sixth Form.
Mr Simm added: "Applying for A-Levels is a daunting and often difficult decision, so we want every student applying here to make the most informed choice possible.
"The Day In The Life was a massive success and it was great to welcome more than 50 external candidates."

The application deadline is February 1.
