Children, staff and parents at Thomas Willingale School and Nursery have raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK after turning the school into a sea of pink.
Children took part in a Race for Life event this morning before being joined by their parents for a picnic on the school field.
Headteacher Teresa Phillips said: "Today’s Race for Life event is about a disease which impacts so many of us within our own school community and the wider community.
"Almost all of us will know people who are or have been directly affected.
"These fundraising events go a long way to helping Cancer Research UK find new treatments and cures.
"Having directly seen the benefit of the work these charities do after my own recent battle it has been so heartening to see so many dig deep and help us to help them keep people alive.
"The children and families have raised an incredible amount of money.
"So far we have exceeded our target of £2,000 and we are still counting. Thank you!"
