Buckhurst Hill Parish Council is to produce a Neighbourhood Plan
Buckhurst Hill Parish Council is to produce a Neighbourhood Plan.
Parish clerk Kevin O'Brien said: "We believe that it will give us the opportunity to set out a positive vision for how we want our Parish to develop over the next 20 years to 30 years in ways that meet identified local need and make sense for local people.
"The Neighbourhood Plan will enable us to put in place planning policies that will help deliver that vision."
The parish council will launch its early engagement consultation, which will run until the end of September, at a meeting on Friday (July 15).
Mr O'Brien said: "The early engagement consultation will enable residents to provide their views on a range of issues related to the development of Buckhurst Hill over the next 20 to 30 years."
The official launch will take place in Buckhurst Hill Public Library, Queens Road, from 7pm.
Councillor Smruti Patel and others will set out the Parish Council’s plans for engaging with residents throughout what is likely to be a two-year journey.
Members of the public are invited to attend and ask questions on the Neighbourhood Plan process.
There is no need to register to attend the meeting, just turn up on Friday evening.
