Easter eggs up for grabs at revision workshop
Easter eggs were uo for grabs when King Harold Academy, Waltham Abbey, held a Year 11 revision workshop.
Lead Teacher of Learning Paul Greendale, who organised the session with Head of Science James Medforth, said: "With their GCSE examinations just around the corner the season of revision is upon our Year 11 students.
"High quality revision will be the difference between Ds and Cs and A and A*s, the difference between that college course that leads to a dream career or a college course re-sitting GCSE maths!"
The session aimed to discover the best ways for students to revise with memory techniques such as ‘pegging’ and ‘loci memory palace’ used along with reminders about the need for repetition, resilience and regular breaks.
Every student was provided with a revision pack full of revision essentials such as sticky notes, revision cue-cards and a revision calendar.
The Easter eggs were provided by the event’s sponsor, the Co-operative food store in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey.
