Twenty-five King Harold Academy students, from Year 7 to Year 10, gave a mini carol concert at Tallis House care home in Waltham Abbey.

Helen Sideras, Pastoral Manager (Years 7/8 and Transition), said: "It was a marvellous experience for our students. They were overwhelmed with the participation of the residents as they joined in with the carols and particularly their involvement in the actions to a beautiful rendition of 'White Christmas'.

"Our students were proud to also serve mince pies to the residents and appreciated the treat of chocolates they received from all at Tallis House."

She added: "The staff and residents were very welcoming and a great time was had by all.  There was a buzz of excitement on the way back to school as we were invited back again next year."
