Primary school pupils attend science workshop
Twenty-one Year 5 pupils from Hill House Primary School, Waltham Abbey, visited King Harold Academy for an afternoon of science practicals.

The students completed a range of workshops linked to their current science topic, which included investigating density, solubility, electricity, separation techniques, evaporation and exploring chemical and physical changes.

The pupils were also shown how to light and use a Bunsen burner safely.

King Harold Academy science teacher Siobhan Knowles, who organised the event, said: “We were very impressed with the behaviour and level of knowledge demonstrated by the pupils from Hill House Primary School and an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.”

Year 8 pupils helped with the workshops.
