Children take part in performance of Macbeth

Pupils at Hereward Primary School, Loughton, were thoroughly entertained yesterday (Wednesday) when they were visited by Shakespearean actor Anthony Glenn who performed Macbeth to the whole school.

Using a range of props and selecting children from the audience to play various roles, Mr Glenn - from the 'Shaking up Shakespeare' company - managed to tell the whole story with style and humour in just 60 minutes!

Headteacher Matt Woolard said: "Anthony has been visiting Hereward for over 15 years and his performance is one of the highlights of the year.

"The children love taking part and really appreciate the enthusiasm he brings to his drama and story-telling."
