Two highways schemes to go ahead

Two highways schemes are to be carried out in Buckhurst Hill following the award of funding from the Epping Forest Local Highways Panel.

Buckhurst Hill and Loughton South county councillor and parish councillor Marshall Vance told Thursday's Buckhurst Hill Parish Council meeting that the roundabout at the Palmerston Road-Westbury Road junction will be repainted and the speed cushions in Roebuck Lane will be replaced.

Mr Vance added that a scheme for bollards in Blackmore Road and Thaxted Road has gone through the initial stage but is still awaiting funding.

The bollards will stop pavement parking in both roads.
