Steel Pan workshop
Sixty students from Years 7 to 10 at King Harold Academy, Waltham Abbey, spent a day taking part in workshops with the London-based 'Steel Pan Agency'.
Working in bands of 12, the students learnt about the history and development of steel pans before learning to play a song in four-parts from memory.
This was the first of a set of three workshop days which will culminate in a multi-school concert in Harlow on Friday, March 24.
Parents are invited to attend the concert.
