Children at Thomas Willingale School and Nursery have gone back in time to 'The Stone Age'.
The children are celebrating 'World Book Week' with a Stone Age theme this year, and have been visited by two real-life cavemen and a cave women who lived on the school field for two days in their mock 'Stone Age camp'.
All the children visited the cave and took part in Stone Age re-enactments while handling Stone Age artefacts and learning everything they need to know about the Stone Age era.
KS1 children will also be taking part in drama workshops for two days, teaching them how to order time from the Ice Age to the Common Era.
On Thursday the children will be dressing up for World Book Day - while keeping to the Stone Age theme.
Kim Pollard, one of the school's English Leaders, said: "The week has been very successful with all the children engaged and enthused by the experiences they have had.
"The whole curriculum has been planned and adapted to ensure the children's learning has been valuable and exciting."
