Hereward Primary School pupils step back in time

Year 3 pupils at Hereward Primary School, Loughton, were visited by the 'Portals to the Past' company to 'take them back in time' to the era of the Ancient Egyptians.

The children participated in a range of workshops, including measuring in cubits, examining artefacts and learning about the process of mummification.

Year 3 teacher Robyn Hail said: "The children were so enthusiastic and were fully involved in the day. They learned so much about a fascinating time in history."
