School receives award for exceptional results
Debden Park High School has been nationally recognised for its exceptional 2016 performance by the Schools, Students and Teachers network (SSAT).
Educational Outcomes data analysis from SSAT has shown that the school is in the top 20 per cent of non-selective schools nationally for both attainment and progress.
The SSAT Educational Outcomes awards will be presented at a regional celebration event held to draw attention to the work of high-achieving, improving and innovating schools and teachers.
SSAT chief executive Sue Williamson said: "It is my great pleasure to commend Debden Park High School on their excellent 2016 performance and to have the opportunity to highlight and share their great work at an SSAT Educational Outcomes celebration event.
"We know how hard teachers work to ensure the success of every child. SSAT’s Educational Outcomes award recognises the professionalism, commitment and hard work of the leaders, teachers and students at Debden Park High School.
"A big thank you and well done to the pupils, staff and governors.”
Debden Park High School executive headteacher Christian Cavanagh said: “Our results have consistently proved that our students achieve well above the national average and we are delighted that these results have been recognised by the SSAT.
"Our school delivers an outstanding education for our students from Years 7 to 13 and as Ofsted recognised in January 'high expectations and excellence are the norm”'here. We continue to go from strength to strength.”
