Epping Town Football Club awarded district council grant

A range of equipment has been purchased by Epping Town Football Club thanks to the award of a £915 grant from Epping Forest District Council.

The club has bought a selection of training equipment including training pitch cones and markers, senior mannequins, goal nets and footballs.

Club chairman Chris Ottaway said: "We would like to give our sincere thanks to Epping Forest District Council for their support in awarding the club this grant.

"We intend to put the equipment to good use!"

Epping Town is currently fourth in Essex Olympian League Senior Division Four with several games in hand on the clubs above having been 'reborn' last summer with a new management team and a host of new players.

The club plays its home matches at Stonards Hill recreation ground in Epping and hopes to soon start working with the town council on sourcing funding for a spectator shelter / stand.
