Epping Town Football Club seeks sponsors ahead of new season

Epping businesses are being invited to get behind the town's football club and come forward with sponsorship to help Epping Town Football Club on and off the pitch.

The club, which plays its home matches at the Stonards Hill Recreation Ground, has a new look for the 2018-19 season with a new chairman, new manager and a host of new players.

Manager Billy Cove joins the club from Essex Senior League club Ilford and has brought with him several players who will be playing several leagues below where they were previously.

In a letter to local businesses, chairman Chris Ottaway said: "It is the club’s intentions to get back to the glory days of the 70s when this great town had a very successful football club.

"We have a strong committee, all working in the same direction, and our new manager is a proven footballer and manager from a much higher level than what we are in at the moment.

"Of course, small clubs like ours rely heavily on sponsors and supporters and I am writing to ask if you would consider meeting me to discuss sponsorship or any support that you may consider appropriate.

"I really believe that sponsorship of a football club is a two-way street.

"All our sponsors will be invited to matchday hospitality and functions throughout the season and will get promotion across our social media network and via our media partner Everything Epping Forest and the Everything Local News media service which will provide regular updates on our matches with reports and previews."

Chris added: "I see the next few years as a very exciting journey - I very much hope you’d like to join us on it."
