Hope you are doing well!
I wanted to share some exciting news with you…starting this weekend, we are debuting a new radio schedule on WFYI FM 90.1. We last made changes to the schedule in 2017…the impetus for this change is that (sadly) Live From Here with Chris Thile has stopped production and is no longer being distributed. Live from Here was the latest replacement for A Prairie Home Companion and accounted for 4 hours of weekend programming.

This has given us a great opportunity to consider new shows and scan the landscape for great podcasts being offered as radio programs. I am really excited about what Roxanna, WFYI's Radio Station Manager, has put together.

Read more about the new shows coming to WFYI's on October 5.
  • We have added an extra hour of All Things Considered during the week and we have created a fantastic music block on Saturday nights with local favorites, Cultural Manifesto and Blues House Party.
  • There are so many great new additions to the schedule, including news magazine-style podcasts making their radio debuts, including The Daily, Reveal and The New Yorker Radio Hour.
  • We’ve added the hugely popular show, World Café from NPR, which adds incredible music to the schedule every night starting at 9 pm.
  • We have also created two new local music shows…one exploring the rich achievements from the past (Echoes of Indiana Avenue) and one highlighting and exploring local new music and musicians from Indiana (Small Studio Signal Boost).
  • Check out the entire schedule!
Please let me know what you think about the new schedule – I am happy to share feedback with our Radio Station Manager!
