ACTIVE SCHOOL WEEK (#ASW21) National #ASW21 takes place 26-30 April.
#ASW21 - REGISTER Your School
Participating schools are asked to complete the short REGISTER for #ASW21at the bottom of the #ASW21 website page.
#ASW21 - Active Every Day Challenge The #ASW21 Active Every Day Challenge encourages schools and homesto work together to help more children and young people gain more active minutes every day. The challenge has three parts: Active at SCHOOL Schools are challenged to find three different ways to energise the school day.
#ASW21 DAILY Challenges
Schools are also asked to send out daily physical activity challenges during #ASW21. These challenges could be set by a member of staff, a sports organisation, a local or national role model, or even by one of Ireland’s Tokyo 2021 Olympians (see below).
Active at HOME Parents and guardians are asked to encourage children/young people to find ways of being active after school. Even better if the whole family joins in!

#ASW21 - Webinars (THIS Week)
We encourage anyone planning an #ASW21 programme to JOIN US at one of the #ASW21 webinars which are scheduled for tomorrow (13th) and on Thursday (15th). The #ASW21 webinars are designed to:
Explain the Active Every Day challenge
Share lots of NEW ideas and resources
Showcase great challenge ideas from schools across the country
Representatives from the Irish Heart Foundation and the Olympic Federation of Ireland will give short presentations about resources that will enhance #ASW21 programmes.

#ASW21 - LOCAL HERO Day (30/4/21)
This month's #FeelGoodFriday takes place during national #ASW21. This initiative asks schools to look to their local communities for a physical activity role model, and to invite this LOCAL HERO to set a physical activity challenge for their school community. Share your #FeelGoodFriday Local Hero photos/videos with @ActiveFlag@HealthyIreland@Education_Ire on April 30th, to be in with a chance to win a set of outdoor speakers for your school. FIND OUT More
