Apply for PDST Support

The PDST Primary PE team have developed and collated video demonstrations and written descriptions and links to accompanying music for a selection of folk dances across class levels. Check these out, along with the huge array of further PDST PE Dance resources on our scoilnet hub at in advance of St. Patrick's Day. Many of these dances are easily adaptable to current guidelines, and could also be altered for home learning.

ASF encourages ALL schools to commit to the 4-week Run Around IRELAND challenge, starting on Monday, March 22nd. .

  • It supports the Athletics strand of the PE curriculum and gives pupils the opportunity to develop good running technique.

#FeelGoodFriday - WALKWAY Day (26/3/21)

We know that lots of schools working towards ASF this year will receive their WALKWAY pack this week. So, this #FeelGoodFriday is for YOU, and for the ASF schools that already have their walkway routes in place. The Walkway IDEAS booklet, located in the ASF Members Area, has lots of suggestions and ready-made challenge charts (English/Irish versions) to promote 'learning on the move'. We're always on the look out for new ideas so we encourage teachers/classes/ASF committees to be creative, and to design their own walkway activities as well.

Share your photos/videos with
@Activeflag @GetIreWalking @HealthyIreland , using the hashtag #FeelGoodFriday WALKWAY Day, to be in with a chance to a set of outdoor speakers for your school.

IMPORTANT - All ASF activities during 20/21 must comply with COVID-safety guidelines
