Council Announce New CEO
Congratulations to David Stevenson, whom has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Council of Goyder (RCOG) and will start at the RCOG on the 3rd July, 2017
David had lived in Mildura since 1970 until the last couple years when he has made his home at Mintaro in the Clare Valley region. He has taken on some interesting and challenging positions which should give him a great background for the challenges ahead.
Griff Campbell will continue as Acting Chief Executive Officer for the interim period.
The Eudunda Community, Business and Tourism Committee (ECBAT) look forward to working with both Griff and David and staff at the RCOG to improve the region.
Today, the Regional Council of Goyder (RCOG) has opened ward funding for round 1.
The grants are available for sporting and community groups to access funding under the Capital & Sport and Recreation Ward Project Funds. Applications must be received no later than 5pm, Tuesday 28th March 2017
The idea of getting a "Men's Shed" going in Eudunda has been floated for a few years, and several public meetings have been called to start the process.
It is finally happening, The Regional Council of Goyder and the Eudunda Community, Business and Tourism Committee (ECBAT) have signed a formal agreement to use part of the RCOG Works depot on Pine Avenue for what is now called the "Community Hub" . The location will become many thing so not just a 'Men's shed as originally proposed. Keys have finally been handed over so volunteers can gain access to set up.
Ruth Colben has been very supportive for the idea of getting a "Men's Shed" going in Eudunda. She is 'on the scrounge' (for a good reason) and asks the community, "I am just wondering if anyone has any machinery in good working order that they might consider donating to the mens' section of the Community Hub at Eudunda please?
"It would be good to have things like a pedestal drill, circular table saw, buzzer/planer/joiner, band saw, scroll saw to start us off with. Even things like safety hats and goggles, work gloves, angle grinders, benches, buzz saws...You know the stuff, I'm sure.
"Sometimes, folks have this sort of stuff left in a shed after the owner has passed away or stuff that has been upgraded...Please give it some thought and/or keep a look out for things that might be useful to the community. Thanks heaps..."

Govt Urged To Keep Voice Service Over Copper Line
The National Farmer Federation urges the Federal Govtenment to keep voice service over copper line
National Farmers Federation (NFF) President, Fiona Simson, is also concerned about the development. She said,
“A transition to voice-over-nbn infrastructure could mean many users currently receiving a voice service over copper line would have their service replaced by an inferior, unreliable satellite service”
