SOLD OUT! Cancer Fundraiser at Wombat Flat

Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley - fully booked out.

Boots and All Fundraising has been established to host fundraising events that will directly impact the lives of cancer sufferers in Australia.

Having been through the Cancer Journey themselves and having lost their wife and mother of their children to cancer, the Baumann family decided to continue the support that they had received throughout their time with the disease. “As a young family with 2 young Children, we did it tough.

"When Amanda was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we set about trying to create memories for our 2 girls. None of this would have happened without the support of family, friends and strangers so this is our chance to continue this support for others in a similar situation”, said Boots and All Fundraising founder," Rob Baumann.

Do You Want To Be A Volunteer Driver?

Getting You There With Care

The Mid North Community Passenger Network (MNCPN) is looking for volunteer drivers in the Eudunda and surrounding areas. This vital community service is only successful with the help of volunteers within the community. The Eudunda and surrounding areas have a high demand for the usage of the service. Currently we only have 4 volunteer drivers to help those in the community get to medical appointments. The more drivers we have the better the service we can provide.
The MNCPN has a car based at Eudunda so drivers only use the network car. New volunteers must do an accreditation this involves a mandatory child related screening check, medical and driver assessment. All costs are covered by the network.
Anyone that is interested in joining the network please contact
Damien Graham (Coordinator) Ph – 88421677.
We also have a website if you require further information.

Lew Job 2 Day Trial  June 9 - June 10

Based at the Robertstown Oval - SART Championship Round 3

Known as a tough event, the Robby 2 Day starts 1:30pm Saturday afternoon and continues through the first hafl of the night, giving riders a great day/night trial. Riders who have remained will mount up again Sunday morning starting at 9am  to take on the course once again during the daylight hours. The event has a special place in many a rider's minds and some often only ride this event for the sentimental value. Other riders, competing in the full South Australian Reliability Trial Championship (SART) will be pushing hard and often come unstuck, finding, trees, stumps, rocks and mud bogs challenging them.

The Robertstown Oval is the place to be to find out where the best spots to view the event will be and its also the place to get something to eat and drink. Come find out what the event is all about, and support the riders.

There should be 'live timing' on the SART website - check after the event has started.

Eudunda Area School 70th Anniversary Reunion A Huge Success

Held on the 22 April 2018 to celebrate 70 years almost to the day that the Foundation Stone was laid at the Eudunda Area School a great crowd gatherers of past Teachers and Students coming from many parts of Australia, including Queensland, Canberra and the Northern Territory.

There was a very strong turnout of the first few classes at the Area School, shown above by the photo of the combined The First Students at Eudunda Area School - Classes of 1948 to 1953.
Back (L-R): Graham Aesche, Barry Burr, Trevor Prior.
Middle: Rodney Grosser, Trevor Blight, Barry Blight, Gordon Mugford, Murray Sauer, Geoff Waldhuter, Beverley Edmonds (Nee Schupelius), Irene Leske (Nee Steinborner), Allan Baumann, Ray Pfitzner.
Front: Rosa Gallas (Nee Huckauff), Helen Michalk (Nee Obst), Betty Wagner (Nee Klante), Shirley Reimann (Nee Wittwer), Rosslyn Whitcher (Nee Modistach), Margaret Smith (Nee Tscharke), Peter Loffler, Phillip Dutschke, Desma Baumann (Nee Schutz).

What was great was the stories the early students had to tell. From a historic point of view, they shared stories of having woodwork and metal work up at the old Eudunda School (Ward Street), with Mr Harry Schulz transporting them back and forth in the old bus. Some remembered classes also being held upstairs in the old Weisner Building.

Back (L-R): Heather Parker (Nee Kinter) [Staff], Steven Skewes, Roger Frahn, Trevor Prior, [Bus Driver], Di Bills.
Front: Anita Beer, Theo Fisher, Gavin Farmer, David Inverarity, Merilyn Penley, Bill Penley, Beverley Edmonds (Nee Schupelius), Bruce Evans .

It was great to see some of our teachers from the 60's and 70's come to catch up for a yarn. During the day talking with many of the attendees, it became evident that many of the EAS students went on to be teachers themselves.

Additionally - over the weekend several classes held thier own reunions, where they were able to spend more time talking, before coming to the main event.

A big thank you to all who helped make the day a special one, from Adrian Menzel for initially getting the idea of the reunion going, the original reunion committee, and to David Cluse (EAS Head) and the Eudunda Area School, and Greg Post and Marcus Reseigh for continuing the effort.

On the day Adrian took photos of the classes and you can find them faithfully recorded on the reunion website. There is also a chance to chat or find someone on the Facebook Group
